Apologies up front about a short post this week – life got in the way and writing a blog post fell to the very back burner.
This week’s recap is off-topic. This past Monday I had the chance to run the 122nd Boston Marathon for the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge team. I have written a bit more about the fundraising process as Sean Runs Boston. I am still in awe of the support from complete strangers all along the course. Not only were people out in the freezing rain for hours on end, but so many of them were handing out water and food to runners. Fund Raising Link: http://www.rundfmc.org/2018/seang
New Tool – Rekall
I did get some time to play around with Rekall from Google in my SEC504 class as part of the memory analysis. I haven’t played around with it enough to do a full write up, but it is pretty interesting and something I plan to dig into a bit more after my GCIH exam.
This course has given me a small bit of forensic exposure – and this is something that seems very interesting. I am hoping I can continue to dig into this a bit more – it is like a whole new type of puzzle we try to put back together.
